Not everyone has the opportunity to visit a real hydroelectric power plant. At Duke Energy there is a visiting program for students from all over the country and we will be very happy to receive groups of students at any of our 8 plants established along the Paranapanema River. But in the meantime, how about finding out how energy generation actually works? In our virtual plant you will find that downstream and spillway are not bad words and because the energy generated in a hydroelectric power plant is considered one of the most “clean” in the world.
